Ambulatory Care Nurse - Be

Primarily responsible for providing acute patient care in a safe and effective manner in the Ambulatory Care unit from admission to discharge, including phase II recovery and infusion of various transfusion products; Additional responsibilities include directing the unlicensed employee's activity, synthesizing patient information, assessment of patients, planning of care/intervention, teaching of patients/family, implementation of treatment plan/MD orders, and documentation and evaluation.

Collaboration with health care team, patient and family to coordinate patient care delivery.
Participation in ongoing feedback related to self, individual, unit and organizational performance improvement.
Integration of patient care standards and protocols into personal practice and assisting other RN's.
Completion of patient care assignments and documentation, asking for and offering assistance as appropriate and delegating as appropriate.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience as an RN in an acute care hospital.
Able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing. effectively managing, prioritizing and delegating patient care and completing work assignments and other duties, as assigned. Have above average computer skills.
Current active California Registered Nurse license
Equipment: Computers, monitors, printer, fax, photocopier, pneumatic tube system, Omnicell, telephone, IV pump.
