Part-Time PMHNP - Virginia-Autonomous Practice

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Part-Time, Autonomous Practice Remote Active Virginia PMHNP License Required Independent Practice Only

We're looking for a part-time PMHNP in Virginia who can practice autonomously and wants to do it within a team that actually collaborates.

Backpack Healthcare provides mental health care for children, teens, and young adults all online, covered by most insurance. You'll still be part of an integrated care team alongside therapists, psychiatrists, and care coordinators. You'll carry a part-time caseload providing comprehensive psychiatric care to children, teens, and young adults via telehealth. Afternoon, evening, and weekend availability is required that's when families can actually show up.

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and formulate evidence-based diagnoses

Develop individualized treatment plans in partnership with patients and their families

Collaborate with therapists, psychiatrists, and care coordinators in regular case reviews

Medical, dental, and vision (for eligible team members)

• A collaborative team that treats integrated care as the standard, not the exception

Active, unrestricted Virginia PMHNP license (multi-state or compact preferred)

PMHNP-BC board certification

Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited PMHNP program

Experience with or strong interest in working with youth and families

Comfortable working independently in a telehealth environment
