Job Description: Architect role responsible for designing, developing, implementing, supporting, and optimizing architecture strategy to meet business capabilities and needs. Ensures completeness and integrity of architecture by addressing stakeholder concerns, reconciling trade-offs, and aligning with business and technology directions. Utilizes business and technology knowledge to enable or alter business processes, practices, organizations and systems. Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Provide strategic consultation to business customers in defining or designing business processes, functions and organizational structures, and in researching, identifying and marketing enabling technologies based on customer capability requirements. Facilitate development of enterprise business solutions combining knowledge of processes, issues, and technology. Participate in enterprise strategy development, including environmental analysis, opportunity identification, value cases and portfolio development.

Specify and design large or complex systems, solutions, networks, infrastructure elements, or processes. Select design standards, methods and tools and ensure effective application. Review others’ system design to ensure appropriate technology, resource efficiency, and integration. Establish policy for selection of architecture components. Evaluate impact of major design options. Ensure architecture balances functional, service quality and systems management requirements. Use modeling tools to contribute to architecture development. Produce detailed component requirements and translate them into detailed solutions/designs for implementation. Provide advice on technical aspects of system development and integration and ensure alignment with strategies, policies and standards.

Select and use tools to establish, clarify, and communicate functional and non-functional requirements. Identify environment in which complex products will operate. Identify, initiate, and lead improvement initiatives, ensuring quality and measurable business benefits. Modify or develop new approaches to achieve improvement.

Ensure resolution of architecture and business problems.

Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Manage expectations of customers, partners and management.

Participate in customer walkthroughs, design and technical walkthroughs, problem resolution and decision making.

Interact with departments to interpret complex requirements for peers and staff.

Maintain in-depth knowledge of technical aspects within area of expertise and advise on their application. The area may include information or communication technology, technique, method, process, product, or application area.

Provide leadership in the areas of expertise and architecture to peers, developers, management and business users, including technical expertise, coaching, and ad-hoc training. Prepare presentations on complex issues to ensure alignment with strategy.

EDUCATION Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or closely related field

PAY Pay Range Minimum: $86,400.00

Pay Range Maximum: $138,600.00
