The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides comprehensive skilled services under the direction of a Physical Therapist. The PTA is responsible for accurate documentation and compliance with all legal rules and regulations. The company follows the physical therapy scope of practice as defined by the state for licensed PTA personnel.

Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of employment
Minimum 1 year of PTA experience in an acute care setting (required)
Knowledge of therapy best practices
Valid driver's license and auto insurance (listed driver)
Perform prescribed therapy procedures and diagnostic tests
Treat patients to relieve pain and restore function using physical methods (exercise, massage, heat, water, etc.)
Recommend or adjust prosthetic/orthotic devices
Monitoring & Communication
Educate patients and families on therapy techniques and safety
Document treatments, assessments, and patient education
Operations
Assist with onboarding and training of new staff
Travel to patient locations as scheduled
~ Follow plan of care within PTA scope of practice
Travel
Health Qualifications
Provide proof of negative TB test (or complete testing at orientation)
Annual TB testing required thereafter
Reading, writing, and speaking English
Communication and computer use
In-person and phone communication
Lifting up to 50 lbs (with or without assistance)
