Recruiter Position

Under the direction of the Recruiting Manager, the Recruiter is responsible for forecasting, sourcing, recruiting and interviewing for positions as assigned by NGVC stores, the Home Office and the Distribution Center. This position will assist with the implementation of recruiting initiatives that build bench strength, reduce turnover and ensure compliance with all application and federal state laws.

Provides support, training and direction to new staff members

Manages new store recruiting processes to completion

Develops reports through multiple applications including Dayforce and iCims to determine trends and other information to assist with recruiting initiatives

Coordinates job fairs in order to source potential store level candidates in high-needs markets

Identifies quality and high potential candidates for store management

Meets regularly with the Recruiting Manager, VP of HR and Regional Managers to identify staffing needs

Provides quality candidates to the Regional Managers for final selection of all Store Manager positions

Assists Store Managers throughout the hiring process including background checks and any other pre-employment assessments

Creates and presents innovative recruitment techniques, strategy and avenues including social media

Reports weekly and monthly to the Recruiting Manager on staffing needs, turnover, trends, opportunities and other recruiting-related issues for his/her assigned area

Coaches Store Managers on quality interviewing and selection practices

Adopts stores, ensuring compliance with all recruiting and employment laws and regulations

Sources for candidates using a variety of techniques including networking, advertising, job fairs

Partners with Store Managers to address store level comments or concerns for better retention

Coordinates training needs with store operations and travel

Travels up to 20% of the time on average, and as much as needed to meet company growth objectives

High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience is required

  • 3-5 years of experience recruiting exempt and non-exempt level candidates
  • Field retail experience preferred
  • Strong recruiting skills and ability to identify quality candidates
  • Strong knowledge of all relevant recruiting and employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent understanding of the retail environment
  • Proficient computer skills with ability to develop spreadsheets and reports to analyze division staffing needs
  • Excellent collaboration and consensus building skills
  • Strong relationship-building/networking ability and excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
