Welder - Temporary (Night Shift)

Welder/Fitter We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter who can read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings. The ideal candidate will be proficient in MIG, and Stick welding processes and have experience working with carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum materials. The role requires preparing materials for welding, producing high-quality welds, and performing basic quality checks while maintaining safety standards.
Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on carbon steel components.
Collaborate with fitters to ensure accurate placement and structural integrity.
Inspect welds for quality and consistency.
Maintain safety standards and cleanliness in the work area.
Essential Skills Proficiency in MIG welding processes.
Experience with welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
Strong understanding of shop safety practices and proper use of PPE.
Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to pass a visual weld test using MIG on carbon steel.
Familiarity with overhead cranes, grinders, and fabrication tools.
AWS certification (a plus but not required).
Strong work ethic and reliability.

Work Environment Work in an industrial fabrication shop with large steel structures. The work environment is fast-paced and project-driven, with a team-based workflow where fitters tack based on 3D models and welders follow. Enjoy a collaborative culture with modern equipment and tools. Shifts include a 4x day shift from 5am-3:30pm and a 3x night shift from 5pm-3:30am.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tulsa, OK.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
