ICU RNFusion Medical Staffing is seeking a ICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Mequon, Wisconsin. Location: Mequon, WISalary: $1700-1809/week* (estimated payments include wages and expense reimbursement, are based on information available to Fusion at time of posting, and could vary depending on factors related to the facility or applicant. Estimated payments do not include taxes, insurance, or other deductions that may occur.)NoCharting System: Cerner (Millennium, Soarian), Citrix, Dell, Epic (Dorothy, EpicCare Ambulatory, EpicCare Link), McKessonRequired Qualifications:One year of recent experience as an ICU RNValid RN license in compliance with state regulationsCurrent BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS (AHA/ARC) certificationsPreferred Qualifications:Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certificationTNCC, NIHSS certificationOther certifications or licenses may be required for this positionSummary:The ICU Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive, critical care to patients in the intensive care unit. This role encompasses assessing and monitoring critically ill patients, operating life-support equipment, administering advanced treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. The position requires strong critical care skills, advanced clinical judgment, excellent communication, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and professional ethics in high-acuity settings.Assess and monitor critically ill patients, recognizing and responding to subtle changes in patient conditionAdminister complex medications and treatments in accordance with approved critical care nursing techniquesOperate and manage advanced life support equipmentEnsure patient safety and comfort in high-acuity ICU environments, addressing physical and emotional needsRecord significant conditions, reactions, and interventions, notifying the appropriate provider of changes in patient statusPerform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring, including arterial lines, central venous pressure, and pulmonary artery cathetersAccurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record in a timely manner to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulatory standardsProvide education to patients and families regarding the ICU environment, treatments, and recovery expectationsCommunicate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient careMaintain proficiency in critical care procedures and technologies through ongoing education and trainingAdhere to strict infection control protocols to protect immunocompromised patients and reduce risksEngage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance ICU patient outcomes and operational efficiencyPerform other duties as assigned within scopeAdhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standardsRequired Essential Skills:Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skillsThe ability to read, write, and communicate in the English languageAbility to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skillsPhysical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bendInterpersonal Skills - Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalismTechnical/Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipmentMental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure.
