Full-Time Front Desk Receptionist - Healthcare

This Medical Clerical Receptionist position has the potential to transfer over to our upcoming call center in Rochester! Full-time, Monday-Friday, day shift, no nights, no weekends.

Experience in a medical office, hospital or long-term care facility strongly preferred, but not required.
Computer aptitude to do inquiry, data entry and daily system operations.
Good communication skills and pleasant phone technique as required handling various telephone and in-person communication with patients, guests, and other medical providers in a professional manner.

Math aptitude sufficient to balance and handle cash.
Separate personal opinions and feelings from professional demands and responsibilities of the position.
Maintain strict confidentiality as defined by hospital policy and federal law.
Adapt to variations in scheduling (including but not limited to overtime, work schedule changes or low census).

As the receptionist, you will greet patients and guests in a professional manner responding to questions or requests appropriately.
Obtain complete patient demographic and insurance information for system entry and check patients in for appointments in a timely manner.
Handle cash, balance the daily charges and perform daily deposit. Deliver deposits to bank daily as needed.
Ensures that all telephone calls are answered promptly and handles or directs the calls appropriately.
Performs office opening procedures and closing procedures independently as scheduled.
Scan necessary patient health information into EHR, and route into corresponding patient charts, ensuring accuracy. Medical Insurance
