Job Title: System Administrator 2
Location(s): Salem, VA
Job Description Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Key requirements: 4-7 years of relevant experience
Systems administration, engineering, provisioning, operations, and support
Server installation, rebuild, hardware/peripheral configuration
VMware ESXi 7.x or higher
Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019/2022/2025
Linux administration
Tier III troubleshooting and incident resolution
Hardware/software failure diagnosis and recovery
OS patching and upgrades
Backup verification and recovery operations
User account administration
System monitoring, logging, security monitoring
Performance tuning, capacity planning, and resource optimization
CPU, memory, disk partition configuration
Data center environmental/monitoring equipment
Asset Management application support
Technical documentation and operational procedures
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Skills: IT Customer Support/Service Required 5 Years
Service Ticket Management Required 2 Years
Desktop Application Support Required 2 Years
Documentation Support Required 2 Years
Desktop/Laptop Hardware Support Required 2 Years
Server Maintenance Nice to have 2 Years
Network Support Nice to have 2 Years
IT Process Management Nice to have 2 Years
