Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Level 4 NICU environment, including pre- and post-operative care for neonatal surgical patients
Manage complex neonatal patients requiring advanced respiratory support including oscillators, conventional ventilators, CPAP, and nasal cannula specialty gases
Maintain and monitor invasive lines including PICC lines, Broviacs, UAC/UVC/PAL lines, trachs, ostomies, and G-tubes, including line changes with multiple drips
Float within scope of practice to other units and satellite campus locations as needed; mileage reimbursed from home base facility
Utilize Epic for clinical documentation and charting
Maintain availability to work weekends and two out of three designated holidays as required
Required Qualifications
Active California RN license (or confirmed ETA for licensure posting prior to start date)
Minimum 2 years of recent Level 4 NICU experience (or strong Level 3 NICU experience with surgical newborn care)
Current BLS certification
Advanced NRP certification
Cardiac experience required
Must have reliable personal transportation; local candidates (within 50 miles of facility) are not eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
PALS certification preferred
Experience in a children's hospital or dedicated pediatric setting
First-time travelers with verified Level 4 NICU experience will be considered
