Start Date: ASAP

Hours: 40 hours per week (8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday)

1 overnight call every week

Weekend call every 4th week (Friday/Saturday/Sunday)

Duration: 13-week contract

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Endoscopy/Gastrointestinal (GI) team in Ithaca, New York, for a 13-week contract position. The RN in this role will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures and gastrointestinal interventions.

Assist with the preparation of patients for endoscopy procedures, including administering medications, starting intravenous lines, and monitoring vital signs.

Provide direct patient care during endoscopic procedures, including assisting the physician with equipment setup, monitoring patient status, and documenting procedure findings.

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.

Educate patients and their families about the procedure, expected outcomes, and post-procedure care instructions.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.

Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in endoscopy or gastrointestinal nursing.

Current certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale).

Flexibility to work occasional overnight and weekend call shifts as required.
