The posted compensation range of $50.85 - $61.67/hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will join an established team of RTs who share your passion for delivering highly specialized cardiopulmonary care to patients experiencing breathing issues. You'll be instrumental in providing a range of treatments from breathing techniques and nebulizer treatments to ventilator management, oxygen therapies, and external ventilation support. Your dedication to patient well-being and exceptional problem-solving abilities will drive success in this vital role.

Integrates patient diagnostic data, response to therapy, and the physiologic profile to create a plan of care that is sound and consistent with the department's standard of care or the department's procedures and protocols
CPAP and in house transport of the ventilated patient
Performs thorough cardiopulmonary clinical assessments with the appropriate inclusion of other body systems including cardiovascular, nutritional, neurologic, etc. Documents information and appropriately assigns triage scores, GCS scores, RT Evaluation and treatment scores and communicates this in an SBAR format to other health care providers
Collects appropriate data and presents patient information at ventilator weaning rounds. ventilator care plan as it pertains to the patient and communicates this plan to physician and/or appropriate members of the patient care team
California State provisional license and 6 months working clinical experience as a student RCP, upon hire and
Respiratory Care Practitioner: Registered Respiratory Therapist, upon hire and
Neonatal-Pediatric Specialty Respiratory Therapist, within 24 - months
Must be able to clearly communicate in English and possess critical thinking skills
1 year clinical experience in an acute care hospital, upon hire
