Job Title: Senior Tax Accountant
Location: Tulsa, OK / In Office
Compensation: $70,000 - $100,000 / Annually
Benefits: This position is eligible for health, dental, vision, 401(k)
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership of the full tax return process, values a collaborative work environment, and wants a position that offers true work/life balance. The Senior Tax Accountant will work closely with leadership and play a key role in building and refining internal tax capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare complete federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S-corps, and other entities—owning the entire return from start to finish.
Review and analyze financial data to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance.
Manage tax planning, research, and communication of tax impacts to leadership.
Respond to IRS or state inquiries as needed (CPA/EA preferred for direct communication).
Assist in building internal processes as the company transitions tax work away from an outside firm.
Collaborate with the accounting team and maintain strong working relationships across departments.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Hands‑on experience preparing full tax returns (not just components).
CPA or EA strongly preferred to allow direct IRS interaction.
4-7+ years of tax experience in public accounting or industry.
Strong knowledge of federal and multi‑state tax regulations.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability, and follow-through.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
