The role focuses on patient safety, encouragement, and clinical support while working collaboratively with another Respiratory Therapist who will handle documentation in the clinical system.Observe and assess patients during pulmonary rehabilitation sessionsMonitor and obtain vital signs as appropriateAssist patients throughout therapy activities to ensure safety and toleranceProvide patient education related to pulmonary disease management and rehabilitation goalsRespond appropriately to patient needs or changes in conditionWork collaboratively with the pulmonary rehab team, including another RT responsible for documentationFollow infection control, safety, and departmental policiesMaintain a professional, supportive, and respectful environment for all patientsQualificationsGraduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy programMust be licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Maryland State Board of PhysiciansRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) requiredCurrent AHA BLS & ACLS certification requiredJohns Hopkins Health System and its affiliates are an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employers.
