Help Patients Build Strength and Independence at Home

Elara Caring is hiring a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to serve home health patients throughout lower Fairfield County.

As a Home Health PTA, you will provide personalized therapy in patients’ homes under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. You will help patients improve their strength, mobility, balance, safety, and confidence while building meaningful one-on-one relationships.

Work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist

Help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and independence

Educate patients on the safe use of walkers, canes, wheelchairs, prosthetics, orthotics, and other assistive devices

Reinforce patient goals and encourage participation in therapy

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

Current and unrestricted Connecticut Physical Therapist Assistant license

At least six months of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred

Willingness to travel throughout Norwalk, Stamford, Greenwich, and the assigned coverage area

Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain an acceptable driving record, OR have reliable transportation to travel between patient homes and assigned work locations.

Must be able and willing to travel 50%

Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients and moving equipment

The base salary for this position is $938.00 to $42.50 per hour, based on the company’s good faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual pay will be determined based on factors such as education, experience, skills, and internal equity.
