The Training Facilitator delivers instructor-led training in support of our Federal Government Client’s implementation of a customized construction management system that will replace their current legacy platform.
The Training Facilitator is responsible for conducting virtual and in-person training sessions for personnel, project managers, engineering staff, construction personnel, leadership, and external contractors. The Training Facilitator ensures participants gain the knowledge and skills required to successfully utilize the new construction management system in support of the client’s construction and project delivery operations.
This position requires strong classroom facilitation skills, experience delivering software and business process training, and the ability to support large-scale organizational change initiatives across multiple geographic locations.
Deliver instructor-led training sessions in virtual and classroom environments.
Conduct training in accordance with approved lesson plans, course materials, and instructional guidelines.
Respond to participant questions and provide functional guidance during training activities.
Maintain effective classroom management and student engagement throughout training sessions.
Coordinate with Training Managers and Program Managers regarding course schedules and logistics.
Support collection of student feedback and training effectiveness measures.
Provide recommendations for continuous improvement of training delivery methods and materials.
Serve as a professional representative of the training team when interacting with Government personnel and external stakeholders.
Support change management and user adoption efforts during CMP deployment activities.
US Citizen
Ability to travel extensively as required.
Ability to work independently and within a geographically dispersed training team.
Bachelor's degree. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Professional certification in training (eg. Certified Professional in Training Management (CPTM), Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD), or Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+))
Experience conducting software application training or enterprise system training.
Proficiency using Microsoft Teams and other virtual training platforms.
Experience supporting Federal Government training programs.
Experience training construction management, project management, engineering, or infrastructure-related business processes.
Experience supporting enterprise software implementations and user adoption initiatives.
Familiarity with a project management information systems (PMIS), or similar platforms.
Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional best practices.

Background Check and Drug Testing Information
In addition, CDM Smith may conduct drug testing for designated positions. The timing of when background checks will be conducted on candidates for positions outside the United States will vary based on country statutory law but in no case, will the background check precede an interview. CDM Smith will conduct interviews of qualified individuals prior to requesting a criminal background check, and no job application submitted prior to such interview shall inquire into an applicant's criminal history. In addition, during employment individuals may be required by CDM Smith or a CDM Smith client to successfully complete additional background checks, including motor vehicle record as well as drug testing.
In addition to geographic location, a candidate’s salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.
All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
