By joining our Mission Solutions business, you will be a member of a team dedicated to providing innovative solutions that streamline the preparation and execution of intricate, mission‑critical operations. We focus on enhancing situational awareness, tactical command and control, and seamless video data exchange capabilities within a dynamic, multi‑domain environment.

Ultra Mission Solutions is hiring mid-level Software Engineers to join the Mission Software team under the mentorship of one of our Solutions Architects, supporting high-demand programs and mission application development.

In this role, you will contribute to software development across the Mission Solutions portfolio, working alongside a senior Solutions Architect and leveraging modern AI tools to accelerate delivery. You will bring existing engineering experience to bear while continuing to grow toward a Solutions Architect track, taking ownership of features and supporting field and integration activities as needed.

Austin, TX, Huntsville, AL, or Remote.

Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the year to support solution engineering in the field, support military exercises, and major integration events.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM discipline (or equivalent experience)

2–8 years of software engineering experience

Demonstrated ability to deliver production software

Secret Security Clearance; Secret or Top Secret security clearance

Exposure to AI/ML tooling and modern development workflows

Proficiency in Python, C++, Go, or similar languages

Experience in edge compute, mission systems, or rugged platforms

Due to the nature of the programs we deliver for our customers, candidates may need to obtain the relevant security clearance or handle export‑controlled material as defined by the role's requirements.
