This position ensures compliance with all applicable laws, accrediting standards, health system policies and sound pharmaceutical ethics. This position may have access to patient and financial confidential information, non-controlled and controlled drugs and certain hospital funds. Depending on area of assignment, the Staff Pharmacist may be required to complete the following tasks: direct patient interactions such as medication and disease state education counseling, minor lab procedures and interpret lab results, administer immunizations, and work according to approved health system protocols. Duties/ResponsibilitiesPhysician drug orders are processed in an accurate and timely manner, inpatient, outpatient and/or retail.Ensures sterile and non-sterile medications are compounded accurately using generally accepted pharmacy principles.Pharmacy operations are completed and documented accurately and in a timely manner.
