Job Description

We are looking for a talented individual…

To join our team as an Energy Engineer II! You will be responsible for providing technical support to our portfolio of programs and projects across the US energy‑optimization of buildings, equipment, and systems, including transportation electrification and distributed energy resources, to achieve energy savings and carbon emissions reductions. This role will support our IT team and program team to develop energy savings solutions for a potentially diverse set of energy consuming systems.

Responsibilities

Manage prescriptive measure support for new program launches and maintenance of existing programs in our IT systems. Ensure quality and timely support.

Lead reviews of technical reference manuals, filings, utility commission documents, and evaluator documents for technical accuracy and sound engineering practices. Effectively communicate findings and recommendations to engineering and program partners.

Create prescriptive measure savings methodology documentation following federal, state, and local energy codes and requirements using standard engineering principles.

Ensure accuracy of prescriptive measure requirements in our IT systems by performing thorough testing and reviewing measure data.

Develop energy savings calculators in MS Excel for prescriptive measures.

Support development of company‑wide engineering best‑practices

Developing and reviewing energy savings calculations

Travel – 25% within city traveling

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Bachelor’s degree in studies applicable to role for Energy Analyst role

2+ years of experience with energy efficiency consulting or program implementation

Experience with Salesforce is a plus

Experience with VBA, SQL, or other programming languages is a plus

Interest and ambition to work in the fast‑paced energy efficiency industry

Excellent technical and non‑technical writing and communication abilities

Ability to analyze technical issues and convey conclusions to diverse technical and non‑technical audiences

Capability to review colleague’s work and effectively communicate feedback in a timely manner

Enjoys working in a dynamic setting with technical and non‑technical team members

Organized and detail‑oriented with ability to meet deadlines and think critically

DOT Requirements

If applicable, meet all DOT qualification requirements and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations.

$69,300.00 - $103,900.00

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.
