Senior / Lead Welder
Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior/Lead Welder to join our growing manufacturing team. This individual will serve as a technical leader on the shop floor, performing high-quality welding while mentoring team members, ensuring quality standards are met, and helping drive production efficiency. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with extensive fabrication experience and a commitment to safety and craftsmanship.
Responsibilities

Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Flux-Core welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components.
Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbols.
Lead and support a team of welders by providing training, guidance, and technical expertise.
Inspect weld quality and ensure finished products meet customer specifications and company quality standards.
Troubleshoot welding and fabrication issues to minimize downtime.
Coordinate workflow and prioritize jobs to meet production schedules.
Assist with fixture setup, tooling, and process improvements.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and quality requirements.
Work closely with supervisors, engineering, and quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional welding and fabrication experience.
• Previous experience leading or mentoring welders preferred.
• Strong blueprint reading and weld symbol interpretation skills.
• Experience welding structural steel, sheet metal, and custom fabrications.
• Ability to use measuring equipment including tape measures, calipers, squares, and gauges.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment.
• Welding certifications (AWS or equivalent) are a plus.
