Journeyman Plumber (Commercial Construction)

Job Title: Plumber
We are seeking two skilled plumbers for a commercial project in Columbus. We need journeyman plumbers who can work independently with strong mechanical and commercial plumbing knowledge, as well as the ability to read blueprints.
Install vent, storm, sanitary, gas, and water piping systems and extend piping to connect fixtures and plumbing to those systems.
Assemble pipe sections, tubing, and fittings using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvents, caulking or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.
Review blueprints and building codes and specifications.
Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, and fixtures in structures using measuring instruments such as rules and levels.
Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angles, using hand and power tools or machines such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines, and pipe-bending machines.
Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances such as dishwashers and water heaters and fixtures such as sinks and toilets using hand and power tools.
Cut opening structures to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings using hand and power tools.
Journeyman card.
Commercial plumbing experience.
Proficiency with plumbing hand tools such as tape measures, pipe wrenches, hammers, and screwdrivers.
This position offers a temp-to-perm opportunity with full benefits. Personal Protective Equipment is provided, excluding steel-toed boots. Experience the satisfaction of contributing to a brand-new school build.
Work hours are Monday to Friday from 6/7am to 2:30/3:30pm at a new-build project. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH.
