The Quality Control Supervisor manages daily quality control at a food manufacturing facility, ensuring products meet safety, regulatory, and company standards. The role includes leading QC technicians, overseeing production, managing tests, and supporting ongoing improvements.

Supervise daily quality control operations on the production floor.

Ensure raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods meet specifications.

Monitor compliance with HACCP, GMPs, EMPs and company food safety programs.

Review and verify production and quality records for accuracy and completeness.

Train, schedule, and supervise QC technicians.

Provide coaching and performance feedback.

Ensure team follows proper sampling, testing, and documentation procedures.

Oversee product sampling and testing (microbiological, chemical, and physical as required).

Review Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and approve materials for use.

Ensure proper implementation of hold‑and‑release procedures.

Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits.

Oversee environmental monitoring programs.

Verify sanitation effectiveness through inspections and testing.

Report and address any food safety risks promptly.

Identify trends in quality data and recommend improvements.

Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes.

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field preferred.

3-5 years of experience in food manufacturing or quality control.

Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and food safety regulations.

Experience with FDA and/or USDA inspections.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Ability to analyze data and make sound decisions.
