Qualifications

Active RN License

Degree from an accredited nursing program

BLS & ACLS Certification

At least eighteen months of recent experience in an acute care ICU setting

Other requirements to be determined by the client facility

Duties & Responsibilities

Manage the care of adult patients experiencing life‑threatening conditions requiring complex assessment and interventions.

Provide patient care, education, and support to patients’ families.

Ensure proper functioning of life support equipment such as ventilators and feeding tubes.

Observe vital signs and signs of distress, and act accordingly.

Administer medications, IVs, and insert catheters as needed.

Maintain meticulous documentation of medication administration.

Assist in emergency nursing procedures for prompt control of changes in a patient’s condition.

Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation accurately and effectively.
