Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery - Night Shift
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Night shift: 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00). Weekend shifts required, with some flexibility.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Night Shift position in Labor and Delivery. The RN will provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment, working effectively with patients experiencing various high-risk conditions.
Responsibilities
Manage high-risk labor and delivery patients, including those with antepartum complications, pre-eclampsia, diabetes, and more.
Perform labor management, induction, and augmentation of labor.
Provide support during maternal emergencies and high-risk deliveries.
Utilize advanced equipment and techniques, including intrauterine pressure catheter (IUPC) placement, external and internal fetal monitoring.
Conduct thorough assessments including NST and OCT, and respond to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
Administer medications and therapies as indicated, including insulin, magnesium sulfate, and antihypertensives.
Assist with C-sections and recover patients post-operation.
Provide education and discharge teaching to new parents.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license (Washington or Compact) required.
• 2 years of charge nurse experience preferred.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
• Experience in a Level II trauma facility is preferred.
