Century Group is partnering with our leading consumer product client for a Purchasing Assistant position. Ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional who plays a crucial role in the procurement process. They collaborate with the Purchasing Manager to manage the company's supply of products and services, maintain relationships with suppliers, and ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing. Keep track of inventory levels and identify purchasing needs.
Ensure timely delivery by tracking orders and managing delivery schedules.
Make recommendations to enhance purchasing-related processes.
Verify documents, such as purchase orders, for accuracy.
Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Word processing, Spreadsheets, E-mail, Order processing, Inventory control systems, and Manufacturing software (e.g., SAP).
High school diploma with 1-2 years of college preferred.
Knowledge of SAP and the ability to execute purchasing-related transactions within SAP.
Experience with Microsoft Suite.
