We are headquartered in Plymouth, Michigan, outside of Detroit, and maintain testing laboratories, manufacturing, and support facilities around the globe. Established in 1935, we have been a family-owned company for generations, treating our customers and employees as if they are part of our family. We are looking for a talented Welder/Fabricator, II who is responsible for supporting the fabrication department through welding, fabrication, bending, and shearing.
Check raw material for dimensional accuracy and quantity record.
Fit and weld fabrications to print tolerance.
Highly proficient in Heavy MiG, Tig, and Stick welding in both flat and out of position techniques.
Experience operating overhead crane, welding machines.
Proficient in straightening and finish grinding of fabricated assemblies.
Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot defects and provide quality output according to production schedules.
High School Diploma.
Minimum 5 years' experience in welding and fabricating.
Forklift Certification
Ability to use a computer
Ability to use a computer.
Ability to travel up to 10% domestically.
Normal hazards related to working in an office environment.
Normal hazards related to working in a manufacturing and testing environment.
Normal hazards related to road and air travel.
