Job Title: Lead Form Carpenter
Join a large data center construction project as a Lead Form Carpenter, taking the lead on building complex commercial concrete foundations. You will work on drill piers, grade beams, slab on grade, extended mechanical slabs, and columns, using a variety of formwork systems to deliver high-quality structural work on a high-profile site.
Lead and perform form carpentry work for commercial concrete foundations on a data center project.
Build concrete foundations with drill piers, ensuring accurate layout, alignment, and structural integrity.
Form and construct grade beams and grade beam footings according to project specifications and drawings.
Install and finish slab on grade and extended mechanical slabs, maintaining proper elevations and tolerances.
Form and pour concrete columns, using appropriate formwork and bracing techniques.
Work with Gates form systems and other commercial formwork systems to meet project requirements.
Interpret and follow construction plans, blueprints, and layout instructions for concrete structures.
Coordinate daily tasks within a crew environment ranging from 5 to 30 workers, supporting efficient workflow.
Adhere to all site safety rules and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
Communicate effectively with onsite supervision and crew members regarding progress, issues, and needs.
Work extended hours and overtime as required by the project schedule.
At least 5 years of experience as a form carpenter, preferably on commercial projects.
Strong proficiency in concrete construction and carpentry, particularly in commercial foundations.
Hands-on experience with commercial concrete foundations, including drill piers.
Experience forming and building grade beams and grade beam footings.
Experience working on slab on grade and extended mechanical slab projects.
Ability to form and construct concrete columns using appropriate techniques and formwork.
Experience with Gates form systems or similar commercial formwork systems.
Ability to read and follow construction plans, drawings, and layout instructions.
Commitment to working safely and following all site safety protocols.
Capability to work long hours and consistent overtime on a demanding construction schedule.
Previous experience on data center or large commercial building projects is beneficial.
Strong communication skills for coordinating with onsite supervision and team members.
Reliability and punctuality for a schedule that includes extensive overtime.
You will contribute to a high-profile commercial project that offers substantial overtime and daily per diem for qualifying travel, creating strong earning potential. The site provides a structured schedule with Sundays off, supporting a predictable work-life rhythm. This role is based on a commercial construction site, primarily focused on large building and data center work. You will work outdoors and in active construction areas as part of crews ranging from 5 to 30 people, reporting to onsite supervision. The schedule is demanding, typically 60 hours/60 hours/50 hours per week with overtime, and Sundays off. Per diem of $100 per day is available when working 75 miles or more from your home address. You must provide your own steel-toed boots and be prepared to work in a safety-conscious, fast-paced environment that involves heavy equipment, concrete operations, and standard construction site conditions.
