We're looking for a creative, energetic and strategic Marketing Manager who wants to help shape what comes next. This position offers an opportunity to lead our marketing, communications and community-engagement efforts while helping build a growing marketing department from the ground up.

The Marketing Manager will report directly to the CEO and serve as a member of SJP's management team. This individual will have responsibility for the day-to-day direction of SJP's marketing function while helping develop and execute the credit union's longer-term marketing strategy.

We're looking for someone who can think strategically while also being comfortable rolling up their sleeves—developing campaigns, creating content, managing digital channels, coordinating events, building community relationships and finding new ways to grow and engage our membership.

The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to help build SJP's growing marketing department , including participating in the selection, training and development of an additional Marketing Specialist.

Develop and execute marketing strategies supporting membership growth, deposits, lending, products and services.

Manage SJP's brand, advertising, member communications and overall marketing calendar.

Lead digital marketing efforts, including social media, email marketing, website content and digital campaigns.

Develop engaging content across digital, print and other communication channels.

Track marketing performance and use data and analytics to evaluate campaigns and improve results.

Coordinate member promotions, community events and credit union initiatives.

Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, employer groups, schools, nonprofits, business partners and other organizations throughout Western New York.

Identify opportunities to expand awareness of SJP and develop new relationships within our field of membership.

Coordinate sponsorships, promotional materials, advertising vendors and outside marketing partners.

Work collaboratively with Lending, Operations, Finance and other departments to support organizational goals.

Maintain an organized marketing calendar, budget, vendor relationships and campaign records.

Assist with member research, market analysis and measurement of marketing effectiveness.

Help recruit, train and develop a Marketing Specialist as SJP expands the department.

Perform other marketing, communications and community-engagement responsibilities as needed.

We're looking for someone who combines creativity, organization, relationship-building and strong business judgment .

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field preferred.

Approximately 5+ years of marketing, communications or related professional experience preferred.

Experience developing and executing marketing campaigns across multiple channels.

Strong writing, communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience with social media, email marketing, websites/content management and digital marketing.

Ability to use analytics and performance data to evaluate marketing effectiveness and make informed decisions.

Strong organizational and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Ability to build strong relationships with community partners, vendors, members and coworkers.

Experience in banking, credit unions, financial services or another regulated industry is a plus, but not required .

Prior supervisory or team-lead experience is preferred but not required for an exceptional candidate ready to take the next step into management.
