Registered Nurse (Rn) Opportunity

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Kent, WA for the 2026-2027 school year! This is a full-time Building Nurse role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services.

Active RN license valid in Washington

Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN program

Ability to perform all functions within RN scope under WAC 246-840

Experience in hospital, clinic, long-term care, or community-health settings

Familiarity with Washington nursing regulations and electronic health records

Provide first aid and manage everyday illnesses (headaches, stomachaches, injuries)

Monitor students with chronic conditions (asthma, diabetes, seizures, allergies, mental health conditions) and implement routine and PRN medications and care per orders

Verify medical orders, document medication administration, and safely administer routine and PRN medications

Act as the lead responder to medical emergencies on campus

Train staff on emergency protocols and equipment use

Develop and update IHPs (Individualized Healthcare Plans), IEPs (Individualized Education Plans), and 504 Plans related to medical conditions; Collaborate with parents and school staff regarding students with medical needs

Conduct or assist with health screenings (vision, hearing, growth/BMI, blood pressure)

Delegate and supervise nursing tasks in accordance with state regulations
