RN - Emergency Department (Healthcare)

HCA Healthcare is seeking a dedicated RN Registered Nurse to join our Interventional Radiology (IR) team within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this specialized role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to individuals undergoing minimally invasive, image-guided procedures, helping to improve outcomes and experiences for patients and their families.

As an RN in Interventional Radiology, you will collaborate closely with interventional radiologists, technologists, anesthesiology, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team to deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate care. You will perform comprehensive pre-procedure assessments, review relevant diagnostics and histories, verify consents, and ensure patients are physically and emotionally prepared for their procedures. During IR procedures, you will assist with room and equipment preparation, maintain sterile technique, manage IV access, administer ordered medications including moderate sedation, continuously monitor vital signs and patient status, and respond promptly to any changes in condition.

Following procedures, you will provide vigilant post-procedure monitoring, pain and symptom management, and patient education related to recovery, wound care, medications, and follow-up instructions. You will coordinate safe handoffs and collaborate with inpatient units, PACU, emergency departments, and outpatient providers to support smooth transitions of care. Accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record will be essential, along with adherence to all hospital policies, regulatory standards, and infection prevention protocols.
