Fairview Hospital's 6 North/South Med/Surg and Telemetry Units provide comprehensive care and caring services for adults, 18 years of age or older, who have medical and surgical diagnoses and offer a warm, comforting healing environment. As a Nightingale RN, you will leverage your experience and harness the skills of an experienced RN HOPS who recently retired but has a desire to transfer knowledge to newer nurses within the organization. You will provide regular professional nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services and to hospitalized patients in a variety of healthcare settings.
A caregiver in this position works PRN (as needed) between 7:00 a.m. with weekend requirements.
complete nursing assessment, document findings in patient records, and notify physician of abnormal findings.
Establish a care plan in collaboration with the patient, family, and health care team.
Coordinate ongoing care; Provide telephone triage and participate in call rotations per department needs.
Perform nursing procedures and treatments as directed by physician or LIP in the treatment and management of patient care.
Evaluate, initiate, and maintain standards of care consistent with CCHS policies and procedures.
Assist with specialized patient care equipment as required by the clinical department and medical specialty assigned.
Administer medications and treatments as ordered by a physician or LIP.
Direct, coordinate, and participate in the evaluation and supervision of nursing care provided to patients.
Establish patient care priorities and delegate nursing activities according to patient needs and staff qualifications and capabilities.
Serve as charge nurse when assigned to ensure efficient operations and continuity of care.
Participate in education, research, and performance improvement activities; provide health education to patients and families.
Develop, evaluate, adapt, and document education to meet learning needs and abilities of patients and families.

Maintain core competency in nursing, including CPR and skills labs.
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN)
Three years of experience in an RN HOPS position at the Cleveland Clinic immediately prior to retirement
Bachelors of science in nursing (BSN)
In areas operating with Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICC Lines), Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI) or Vascular Access Board Certified (VA-BC) certification
