Social Media Content Creator (Freelance)

FashionPass is an online, subscription-based clothing and accessory rental service for women. We are revolutionizing the retail industry as we know it and we are on a mission to empower women to look and feel like the best version of themselves one outfit at a time.

What sets us apart is our community. We host member meet-ups (influencer-style events), and we show up for the women who show up for us. Social media is where that community actually lives: it's how a member in Ohio ends up sharing outfit ideas with a member in Austin, and it's how we pull everyone into the room.

THE ROLE TikTok is one of FashionPass's strongest brand assets, and we're not looking for a rebuild - we're looking for a creator to take it further. This is a hands-on freelance role for someone who is equal parts creator and tastemaker: you'll be onsite about 20 hours a week concepting, filming, starring in, and editing TikToks that stop the scroll, plus joining us offsite for events and activations.

You'll shoot the content and have a real say in what we make - bringing ideas to the calendar, flagging trends before they peak, and telling us what the numbers say. WHAT YOU'LL DO Create Concept, film, appear in, and edit original TikToks onsite at our Los Angeles office - you own the idea from hook to final cut

Work with our Founder to create founder-based content and storylines

Keep the channel posting daily by shooting in batches during your onsite days, so there's always something queued for nights and weekends

Pull and style looks from current inventory in partnership with our merchandising and styling teams

Cover offsite shoots, brand activations, and events - including some evenings and weekends

Shape What We Make Bring ideas into our TikTok content calendar, including recurring series that give people a reason to come back

Stay ahead of trending audio, formats, and creators, and turn a moment around same-day when timing matters

Capture social-first BTS on set and at events when the opportunity shows up

Stretch It Across Channels Instagram & Reels: Partner with the marketing team on content calendars and creative direction, including spotting the TikToks worth adapting and cross-pollinating for Instagram Reels and Stories

Paid Media: Flag high-performing organic content with potential for paid amplification, and shoot TikTok-first creative for paid campaigns when the team needs it

Learn and Report Back Review post performance weekly and bring what worked (and what flopped) into the next batch

Reply to comments and DMs to build community and mine the feedback for your next post

Flag platform shifts and cultural trends we should be acting on

WHAT YOU'LL BRING A portfolio, personal account, or brand account with TikToks you conceptualized, shot, and edited yourself

Fast, native editing in CapCut and TikTok's in-app tools, with strong instincts for hooks, pacing, and captions

A genuine feel for fashion and styling, and a point of view on what women actually want to wear

Fluency in TikTok culture - you know what's about to pop, not just what already did

Availability to work onsite in the Los Angeles area ~20 hours a week, with flexibility for occasional events

Bonus: fashion, beauty, or lifestyle brand experience; TikTok Shop or livestream experience; a track record growing an account from zero
