Contract | 12-hour rotating shifts, every other weekend (EOW), every other holiday (EOH) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to general Medical Surgical patients within a 10-bed unit
Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise, utilizing age and population-specific standards appropriate to the clinical setting
Operate unit equipment including EMR (Epic), AccuDose, Bladder Scanner, Phillips monitors, and Telemetry
Float to other Medical Surgical units across the Fargo campus as needed
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience; first-time travelers will not be considered
Prior travel nursing experience required (completed assignment preferred within the last year)
Experience in a larger hospital setting (minimum 250 beds) at a Level 2 or higher trauma center
Proficiency with Epic EMR
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Active RN license in North Dakota or a compact state (or willingness to obtain)
Preferred Experience / Skills
Completed travel nursing assignments within the past year
Familiarity with Telemetry monitoring and related unit equipment
