Job Responsibilities
Must be able to immobilize and simulate treatment fields provided by treatment planning and Radiation Oncologist instructions.
Perform radiation treatments to patients in accordance with the prescription and instruction of Radiation Oncologist.
Prepares room and provides education to patients. Adheres to hospital wide customer service programs.
Assumes responsibilities to include: knowledge of equipment; review each patients chart; maintain complete and accurate patient records; maintaining continue education requirements; perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Training, Licensure and Experience Requirements
Graduate of a committee of allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) accredited radiography program or equivalent. Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist or equivalent.
Current New York State License in Radiologic Technology Current registry in the A.R.R.T. Experience preferred. Specialized skill: License and registered in Radiotherapy.
