Pension/Investment Actuary

This actuarial role will own and develop pricing models for RIS. The RIS business, one of the largest U.S. segments in MetLife, covers a wide variety of products including pension risk transfer, GIC/Funding agreements, stable value, structured settlements, Institutional Income Annuities, UKL, and PRB & SBR. The role will work closely with all RIS business and functional partners, including Actuarial, Investments, Risk, Reinsurance and Finance.

The candidate will be part of the entire pricing process of a key MetLife business, understand profitability drivers of the business and learn how all pieces of the pricing process fit together. The role requires extensive work with liability projections and reserving, asset modeling, assumption development and risk monitoring.

Provide technical and analytical support to the product development and implementation activities in RIS.

Develop Excel, Prophet, and other financial models to support analysis and development of new and existing products, including pricing scenarios, cash flow projections and ROI calculations.

Update Excel, Prophet, VBA Macros and other tools as requested by business.

Explore new pricing modeling methodologies, pricing metrics, product designs, new accounting or regulatory requirements.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills
Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, math, statistics, economics, or a related discipline.

Strong skills using Microsoft Excel.

Strong analytical, financial modeling and problem‑solving skills.

Interest in technology, automation, and process improvement.

Customer focused mentality.

Experience using Excel VBA, Alteryx, Prophet or other projection software.

Strong knowledge of retirement products.

This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.
