divh2Yard Assistant I/h2pCA Healdsburg - Healdsburg, CA 95448/ph3Overview/h3pSalary Range $20.00 - $20.00 Hourly/ph3Description/h3pWe are in need of a Yard Assistant at our Healdsburg Branch - Join the Healdsburg Team Today!/ppPosition Summary: Under direct supervision, performs a variety of general manual labor tasks including but not limited to, lifting and moving materials, loading and unloading of trucks, and other activities in a helping or assisting role. $20.00 per hour DOE/ppKey Competencies Building Collaborative Relationships Innovation / Creativity Adaptability Developing Self Others/ppPrincipal Accountabilities Deliverables/pulliDuties may include, once properly trained and certified as required: yard clean up, product receiving, breakdown, product handling and operating yard equipment such as the saws or tug/liliPick up all foreign material in yard in order to maintain a safe work environment and clean appearance/liliCollect recyclable materials and store as directed/liliSweep the yard safely using a mechanical sweeper if available/liliReview supply inventory with Supervisor to maintain necessary level/liliNotify Supervisor of any maintenance or safety issues observed/liliManually stack lumber products as instructed/liliAssist with inventory and/or cycle counts as directed/liliMay operate a gas powered tug to move lumber products/liliPackage materials and keep packaging area clean and organized/liliAssist in keeping all lanes and other areas clean and clear for traffic/liliMay assist in general yard housekeeping and chores as assigned/liliMay use saw to cut lengths from lumber as needed to fill an order if properly trained/liliKeep an inventory of stickers, corners and wrap/liliMay occasionally bar code/liliPerform other work related duties as assigned by your supervisor and be flexible and adaptable to changes that will occur during the course of employment/li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulli0 to 2 years previous experience industry/liliGood knowledge of lumber products/liliAbility to model the Capital values and to provide innovative solutions/liliAbility to deliver high quality, detailed error free work on a consistent basis/liliAbility to read, write, speak and understand English to the extent required to receive and communicate information as necessary to the position/li/ulpAbilities/pulliMust be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds/liliMust be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 5% or less of the workday/liliMust be able to sit and walk or otherwise move around for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday/li/ulpWork Environment/pulliWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes, and moving mechanical parts and vibrations. Work is performed outdoors, and employee is exposed to variety of extreme weather conditions at the distribution warehouse.
