First Shift Construction Carpenter

Carpenter - Window Installation
*This role involves installing windows and doors, performing general carpentry work, and supporting residential and multifamily construction projects throughout Central Iowa area. Technicians begin each day at the shop, load tools and materials with their crew, travel together to job sites, complete installation tasks, and return to the shop at the end of the day. The position offers handson work, steady project flow, and onthejob training for candidates with strong measuring and basic carpentry skills.
-Meet at the shop each morning for project assignments and crew coordination
Load tools, equipment, and materials for daily job sites
Install windows and doors as the primary daily task
Trim out windows and doors with highquality finish work
Perform framing for rooms and structural components
Assist with deck construction and general carpentry tasks
Install cabinets and complete finish carpentry
Support remodel and tenantimprovement projects, including demolition and framing
Handson carpentry experience
Proficiency in window and door installation
Experience with framing, remodeling, and general carpentry
Small, supportive team focused on training and longterm development

Crews typically work 2-3 job sites per day, with some longerterm projects
Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. occasional Saturdays)
Busy season may shift hours to 6:00 a.m. Practical dress code: jeans, Tshirt, and optional cargo shorts in summer
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grimes, IA.
