Registered Nurse - Orthopedic Specialty
This is a 13-week contract position.
Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule from 18:45 to 07:15.
The Orthopedic Specialty unit is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic nursing. The ideal candidate should be able to effectively manage a fast-paced environment with a focus on pain management and care for orthopedic and neuro spine patients.
Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional nursing care to patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries.
Monitor and manage patient pain levels effectively.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Maintain accurate patient records and utilize the EPIC charting system.
Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Float to other medical-surgical units as needed based on staffing requirements.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic nursing.
Must have BCLS certification; ACLS preferred.
Experience with telemetry and IV starts required.
Charge nurse experience and Level I trauma experience preferred.
Current RN license in North Carolina or a compact license.
