Physician - Ophthalmology - Ophthalmologist - Ophthalmology/ Surgery

The physician will provide ophthalmology services for Alameda Health System, under employment from Alameda Health Medical Group. Services will be on-site at Highland Hospital, San Leandro Hospital and Alameda Hospital.

The candidate will possess excellent medical skills. Surgical scope of the position will also be determined by the needs of the Division. Both the subspecialty requirement and surgical scope of the position will be conveyed in the job posting. If the position requires surgical expertise, the candidate is reminded that many patients at AHS have severe pathology and excellent surgical skills are necessary.

The candidate will need cover some ophthalmology call to ensure continuous coverage. The candidate will need to cover multiple clinical sites around the county of Alameda, and where they work may change over time as the needs of the Division evolve.

We are a teaching hospital, and the candidate must be willing to work with medical students, residents and fellows as necessary. An ideal candidate would be invested to quality and process improvement for the Division.

Doctor of Medicine (M.or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.Board Eligible or Board Certified in Ophthalmology

Required Licenses/Certifications : Possession of a valid license to practice medicine in the State of California.

The pay range for this position reflects the base pay scale for the role at Alameda Health System. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, departmental equity, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and the operational needs of the organization.
