AWS Cloud Administration & DevOps: Experience managing and optimizing AWS environments, including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevOps best practices.

• Linux System Administration & Middleware Support: Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), WebLogic, Java/J2EE applications, server administration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Automation, CI/CD & Cloud Modernization: Experience with Python/Shell scripting, GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and migrating legacy applications to modern cloud-native architectures.

Our client is looking for a talented systems professional to support applications.
This role requires expertise in traditional system administration (RHEL, WebLogic, Oracle) and modern DevOps practices on AWS. A key responsibility will be building a Proof of Concept (POC) to re-architect and rebuild the legacy application in a scalable, cloud-native AWS environment.
Responsible for providing technology initiatives, support on-going release activities and POC for applications as System Admin/DevOps engineer.
Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers in AWS cloud environments (EC2 instances).
Administer and troubleshoot Java/J2EE applications deployed on WebLogic application servers, including configuration of JDBC data sources, connection pools, and JVM performance monitoring.
Provide system-level support for Oracle RDS, collaborating with DBA teams for performance tuning, backup, and recovery.
Monitor system performance, availability, and security using tools like Dynatrace, CloudWatch and implement robust troubleshooting procedures for application and infrastructure issues.
Build a Proof of Concept (POC) for rebuilding the legacy Java/J2EE application using modern AWS services (e.g., Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting languages (Shell, Python, Jython, WLST) to increase operational efficiency.
Work closely with development, testing, and operations teams to bridge the gap between development and operations, ensuring smooth software delivery and knowledge sharing.
Proven experience as a System Administrator or DevOps Engineer managing enterprise-level applications.

• Strong expertise in AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration.
• Proficiency in administering WebLogic application servers and supporting Java/J2EE applications.
• Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers in AWS cloud environments (EC2 instances).
• Familiarity with Oracle databases from a system administration perspective.
• Strong scripting skills (Shell, Python, etc.).
• Knowledge of networking concepts and security best practices in cloud environments.
• Experience or familiarity with healthcare data management and compliance standards is a plus.
• Develop POC for migrating code base from WebLogic to JBoss, and ORACLE RDS to Postgres
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems, IT with 15+ years’ experience, or equivalent in healthcare administration setting.
