Licensed Practical Nurse -nursing Ambulatory Care

At Fast Pace Urgent Care, Nurses provide clinical and administrative support essential for effective patient care under the direct supervision of a Provider, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. The Nurse position will provide effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge as well as communicating effectively with team members.

Ability to fulfill all responsibilities of the Patient Care Specialist and Scribe position as detailed in the specific Patient Care Specialist and Scribe job description.

Deliver clinical and administrative support for the team and adhere to all policies and procedures of the company.

Ensure that the activities of the Nurse are conducted in a manner that is consistent with overall department expectations and are in compliance with Federal and State regulations, guidelines, and requirements including working knowledge of all health information management issues such as HIPAA.

Prepare exam and treatment rooms for patient intake.

Triage patients by checking vitals, performing blood draws and giving injections, etc.

Assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.

Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatment.

Assist patients utilizing a Virtual Medicine Provider.

maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that results in a positive work relationship with customers, co‑workers and managers.

Welcome new employees on their first day in the clinic and facilitate introductions to team members, clinic tours, and an overview of the clinic processes.

Actively assist new employees with learning activities and completing required training.

Support new employee training by providing job shadowing, demonstration, and coaching opportunities.

The ability to perform the physical, use of senses, cognitive, and environmental functions of the position, as specified on the physical demands.

Ability to comply with Company standards of operations.

Responsible for learning the aspects of compliance in the company by completing all mandatory compliance training.

Ability to maintain the overall cleanliness of the office as needed to support the team and clinic environment, which may include, but not be limited to, taking out garbage, organization and cleanliness of desk, patient and office space and assistance with other team members to achieve a strong professional appearance for our employees, patients and visitors.

Assist with clerical work such as checking in patients, obtaining and recording demographic, insurance and financial information, with strong attention to detail and in a manner that is professional and caring to our patients.

Verify insurance eligibility and relay relevant information on payment policies and billing/collection processes.

Work as part of the overall team by answering telephone, taking messages and returning voicemails in a friendly and professional manner.

Level 1: High School Diploma or its equivalent with a current CPR license and/or at least 1 year of experience as a certified LPN preferred in clinic setting, preferably urgent care.

Level 2: Certified LPN with a current CPR license and either (1) 3 years’ experience in relevant role and 1 year of Fast Pace experience in Nurse role or (2) 4 years’ experience in relevant role. Or Certified RN with a current CPR license and either 1 year of experience in relevant role and 1 year of Fast Pace experience in Nurse role or (2) 2 years’ experience as Nurse.

Level 3: Certified LPN with a current CPR license and either (1) 5 years’ experience in relevant role and 2 years of Fast Pace experience in Nurse role or (2) 6 years’ experience in relevant role OR Certified RN with a current CPR license and either 3 years’ experience in relevant role and 1 year of Fast Pace experience in Nurse role or (2) 4 years experience as a Nurse.

Certified RN with a current CPR license and at least 10 years as a Nurse and 1 year of Fast Pace experience.

Certified RN with a current CPR license and at least 15 years as a Nurse and 2 years of Fast Pace experience.

Certified LPN with a current CPR license and either (1) 5 years’ experience in relevant role and 2 years of Fast Pace experience in Nurse role or (2) 6 years’ experience in relevant role OR Certified RN with a current CPR license and either 3 years’ experience in relevant role and 1 year of Fast Pace experience in Nurse role or (2) 4 years experience as a Nurse.

Administration duties, including but not limited to scheduling, ordering, training, and other duties assigned by Clinic and/or Regional Director.

Education: High School Diploma or its equivalent

Experience: At least 1 year of experience as an LPN/RN preferred in clinic setting, preferably urgent care.

Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.

License must be active, in good standing, and verifiable with the proper regulatory agency.
