Festival Security Officers

Security Officer (Unarmed) Apply for a role maintaining the safety and security of guests and employees at Kennywood amusement park.

Responsibilities Oversee physical safety and security of the organization’s facilities, property, and people (Team Members, vendors, contractors, shippers, and visitors).

Manage and report on security incidents and threats.

Conduct security checks, surveillance, and monitoring.

Authorize access to facilities and ensure proper access control.

Maintain and review security records, reporting trends, anomalies, and concerns.

Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must have Act 235 certification.

This is an unarmed position.

Ability to address multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Excellent customer service skills; ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns.

Strong communication skills and complete understanding of the English language.

Flexible schedule availability, including holidays and weekends.

Working Conditions Requires standing for long periods, walking long distances within the park, and exposure to variable outside and inside temperatures, including high heat. Must be able to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing up to 30 pounds. Occasional bending, squatting, and reaching above shoulders.
