Managing Counsel - Legal

You will have the opportunity to grow your career by working on a host of international and domestic matters.We are looking for a lawyer with a love of learning who enjoys digging into new areas of law, partnering with business teams in various jurisdictions, and developing and implementing creative and practical legal solutions. The Day-to-Day:Research and provide legal and regulatory analysis and advice on financial services and investment management, privacy, employment and other laws and regulations globallyConduct legal analysis of complex topics and translating this analysis into practical and succinct legal adviceParticipate in ad-hoc regulatory and business projects, which may include implementation of new legislation or regulatory requirementsLaunch new regulated entities (including incorporation and licensing)Draft or review various documents related to legal support of the business globally, which may include commercial contracts, employment agreements, investment management agreements, fund documentation, policies, business guidelinesHandle corporate law and commercial mattersHandle employment law and litigation mattersDraft, review and negotiate vendor contractsCoordinate with external counsel on various mattersTrain and mentor paralegals, fellow lawyers and business colleagues on new or changing regulations and other mattersYour Qualifications:Law degree from an accredited law school, with admission to a bar6+ years' post-qualification experience, with at least 3 years of experience at a mid to large sized law firmSkill in effectively balancing business interests against legal and regulatory risks, and factoring in the bigger picture, strategic goalsFamiliarity with international investment management, employment or privacy laws in various jurisdictions will be beneficial, but not mandatoryWhy Fisher Investments:It's the people that make the Fisher purpose possible, and we invest in them by offering exceptional benefits like:100% paid medical, dental and vision premiums for you and your qualifying dependentsA 50% 401(k) match, up to the IRS maximum20 days of PTO, plus 10 paid holidays Family Support programs including 8 week Paid Primary Caregiver Leave, $10,000 fertility, family forming, and hormonal health assistance, and back-up child, adult, and elder careThis is an in-office role.
