The Procurement Specialist executes cost effective strategies for the procurement of product and materials used in the business and are in alignment with the company’s overall strategy. Ensures all Briggs Industrial Solutions standards are adhered to and executed consistent with company direction.
Monitor procurement spend and procedural compliance to increase productivity and drive efficiencies
Engage with region and local leadership to ensure transfer of slow-moving items
Partner with corporate and/or branch leadership to ensure Internal Audit financial controls are exceeded and/or met
Execute reporting to provide visibility on procurement controls
Strong customer service and multi-tasking skills
Strong financial acumen, decision-making and quantitative analysis
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
Experience in supply chain management, purchasing management or related field required
3+ years’ experience in vendor / supplier management, bidding projects and sourcing negotiation preferred
Certification in supply chain / purchasing / procurement preferred
Working conditions are normal for an office environment
