Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Plan and oversee daily nursing activities, administer medications, and complete required documentation
Maintain patient confidentiality and perform professional nursing services such as catheterization, wound care, and IV care
Foster a warm and collaborative environment and coordinate with physicians to ensure safety protocols are followed
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to meet residents' needs
Registered Nurse (RN) with a current unencumbered state license
Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities
Experience in Long Term Care is preferred
Willingness to take additional training or education, which specific states may require
CPR and First Aid certifications required
Ability to be flexible and adaptable while handling multiple priorities
Required to sit, stand, bend, and walk intermittently throughout the workday
include a medical and physical examination
May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations
