Job Title: Quality Inspector

The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing a variety of parts and product inspections to ensure compliance with company and customer requirements. The role involves inspecting incoming outsourced parts, documenting inspection results, gathering data to create customer reports, and communicating any quality discrepancies to shop supervisors.

Perform inspections to ISO standards.

Document results of inspections using written and photographic methods.

Gather and compile data to generate reports for customers.

Communicate quality discrepancies to shop supervisors.

Maintain material certifications and inspection documentation.

Maintain calibration control for all IMTE inventory.

Assist with the sub out process, including requesting purchase orders, tagging, and documenting counts.

Label nonconforming parts.

Notify management of the need for Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).

Proficiency in quality control, quality assurance, and quality inspection.

Demonstrated competency in blueprint reading and use of precision measurement equipment.

An associate degree in Quality Control Technology or 3+ years of proven inspection experience in lieu of a degree.

A minimum of 2+ years of experience working as an inspector in a close tolerance, custom metal manufacturing business.

Experience in a metal forming, machining, and/or welding environment is preferred.

General machining and welding knowledge is a plus.

Knowledge of metals and raw materials, along with an understanding of production processes, quality control, and costs of manufacturing is a plus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Green Bay, WI.
