Hope is a clinical, educational, and therapeutic provider for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder. We exist to help children and their families reach their maximum potential by providing state-of-the-art applied behavioral analysis therapies and access to recreation, vocational training, and individualized education programming. Our mission is supporting individuals and families in achieving optimum growth, independence, and joy. The DSP position, titled Habilitation Specialist, functions in a broad capacity to serve our residents while supporting our residential and operational needs.

Provide supervision, program implementation and documentation surrounding the daily living needs and routines for assigned children
Assist children with activities of daily living such as eating, dressing, feeding, toileting and personal hygiene needs
Engage children in activities that support the goals of their Individual Support Plan and ensure they achieve maximum levels of independence
Maintain a valid IL driver's license and provide DCFS approved transportation services for medical appointments and field trips
Support residential operations through mandatory overtime shifts as needed

High School Diploma or equivalent education.
Ability to work weekends and mandatory overtime
Experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
Enthusiasm for working with children
