The ideal candidate will be comfortable giving presentations in front of various size audiences, both in-person and virtually.

~ Job responsibilities may include:

assisting with development of reports for DWR's compliance with Phase 2 of EPA's NPDES Electronic Reporting Rule (eRule)
serving as a technical program representative who can bridge the gap between IT partners and programmatic team on eRule projects
development of training materials and documentation for new and existing forms in MyTDEC Forms
e-reporting, mapping of data between systems, and data flows to DWR and EPA databases

This person would also provide outreach to both internal and external staff on training for all aspects of e-reporting and NPDES data management.
The ideal candidate will be very detail oriented and attentive to data quality.
Customer service skills are very important as this person will also provide support to both internal and external customers.
Extra skills that would be nice to have are proficiency in ARC GIS and Tableau as these could open additional project opportunities within the unit.

Summary: The Ideal DBA Profile for This Role

• Database Platform Knowledge : Strong in SQL Server or Oracle, with experience in data mapping, compliance reporting, and possibly PostgreSQL.
• Domain Expertise : Experience in environmental data, EPA reporting (NPDES/eRule), and data quality assurance.
• Integration/ETL : Familiarity with moving and transforming data between systems (internal forms to EPA databases).
• Soft Skills : Ability to train users, give presentations, and provide technical support.
• Bonus Skills : Experience with ArcGIS, Tableau, and spatial data management.
