Respiratory Therapist (Travel Contract)

Our client is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment. The Respiratory Therapist will provide comprehensive respiratory care services across neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations. The therapist will be responsible for assessing respiratory status, managing advanced respiratory equipment, performing diagnostic testing, participating in emergency interventions, and collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care.

Critical Care & Ventilator Management

Blood Gas & Diagnostic Procedures

Emergency & Critical Response

Up to 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapy experience within the specialty.

Previous travel assignment experience required.

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program with an Associate Degree or equivalent.

Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).

Active Georgia Respiratory Care License.

Experience with acute care hospital settings.

Strong critical care assessment skills.

The Respiratory Therapist will provide care for:

Adults

Mechanical ventilation

Arterial blood gas collection and analysis

Oxygen therapy

Aerosol therapy

Emergency airway procedures

Critical care respiratory management

Cardiac monitoring

Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

Infection control

Occasional lifting of heavier equipment and patients when necessary.

Frequent computer work and documentation.

Exposure to infectious diseases, blood, body fluids, hazardous chemicals, and sharps.

Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
