Full-Time Journeyman Electrician

Position Summary Work Type & Schedule: This is a full-time, in-person position with standard hours of 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. We are looking for a skilled and dependable Solar Electrician to join our installation and service team. This is a hands-on position requiring a solid electrical background, attention to detail, and a passion for renewable energy.
Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes (NEC)
Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and service calls for residential and commercial systems
Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and site plans
Conduct system testing and commissioning to ensure proper functionality
Work with installation crews and project managers to meet project timelines and quality standards
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
Qualifications Valid Illinois Journeyman License Preferred (or the ability to acquire)
Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical work (solar experience preferred)
Familiarity with permit and inspection processes in Illinois
Physical Demands Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance)
Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including but not limited to: excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet environment, and humidity
Ability to walk on rafters, roof tiles, and roof shingles without damage
